Got the phone yesterday. Fast but battery drains fast. – Still getting the phone setup but am noticing that the “2 day battery” drains fast. The phone looks & feels great. But even as I’m typing this with the phone plugged in I noticed the battery percentage drop from 97% to now 95%. I also saw that the wireless charging was having trouble. I have a charging battery that works great on my wife’s iPhone 8. But this phone seemed to flake and had trouble staying engaged to charge. It rapidly toggled between charging and not charging. So definitely something is not quite right with this battery situation.

Well rounded midrange phone. That failed 3 days later – I just received this unlocked phone 2 days ago and trying it out as my daily driver. I’ve been a One Plus user for quite a few years until the 9/9pro and Android 12 debacle. On to the Moto Edge. I will say that Moto has a interesting take on Android. (It’s just a little different from what I’m used to.) I feel that OP has a better skin or lack there of (which is a good thing) over the Moto Edge. The phone has a nice screen and color reproduction. I really like the stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos. The phone does reproduce sound (music and video) well and has some volume to it. The phone does not have a headphone jack so wired users are outta luck here. The call quality and clarity is very good on the T-Mobile network no dropped calls. Now…..the cameras. I myself am not looking to run a photo studio from my phone. So as long as the phone takes good photos then I’m fine with it and it seems to do just that. The battery life is good not great. The battery will not last 2 days with HEAVY usage so don’t expect it to. However, the turbo charge 30w is pretty quick to top it up along with the option of wireless and reverse wireless charging. The phone only includes the charging cable, no charging brick. So far my only complaints is that it doesn’t offer micro SD card expansion, which I knew when I purchased and the volume rockers and power buttons are on the same side of the device, which takes some getting used to.. In conclusion, the phone is a midrange device and it’s specs and pricing reflect that. It’s not a flagship/flagship killer and don’t expect it to be. Just from my short time with it, I can say that it’s a well rounded midrange device that deserves a look.

So far so great – Coming from a s22 ultra, I was expecting to be let down by this phone, I was wrong. I’ve only had this day for 4 days, and I’m already glad I switched. Even though it is only 4 days, the phone has gotten a hold of my usage and I’m already getting close to that 2 day battery claim, and will definitely get there as it learns even more. My usage is mostly video streaming with light gaming and messaging, with around 8 to 10 hrs screen on time. The screen is beautiful and does switch automatically between 60-90-120fps, I haven’t seen it push to 144 yet, but I haven’t made it do it either as the auto switch to 120 is smooth enough that I can’t notice it. I love this phone so far, and now promised 3 years of OS updates with 4 years of security makes it a easy thing for to hold onto for years. Thankfully Motorola offers an official case for this device because the other ones were meh at best. I would avoid the cloth case they offer and only stick to the soft protective ones, as the cloth one kept pushing the volume up button. The only other slight negative is that it was compared to my old s22 utlra so I don’t have the 10x zoom anymore. Other than missing that, with a least decent light I got amazing shots with the phone. The ultra wide was good as well, and it even doubles as a macro lens which I love as a feature. And the main reason why I switched to this phone in the first place was for the moto actions like chop to flashlight and twist to camera, I missed then so much I wanted to get that back, and thankfully the phone it’s attached to is actually a really good one to boot. I will update this review if any issues arise or if battery life majorly improves/decreases

Works great! – Very strong antennas, picks up wifi signals, and T-Mobile’s 5g signals very good where we live.

Light and consistent. – Love the display and how light the phone is. It is not a speed demon, but it handles all tasks flawlessly without stutter. The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage are fabulous, as I use it a lot for music and photos. The committed major upgrades is what convinced me purchase this, as I know I’ll consistently have the newest software on the phone. Overall a great experience. Oh, and I’ve also purchased the Edge+ 2022, a much faster beast for the more demanding tasks that I never perform anyway.
