some features great but a lot of things on the phone broke rather quickly – ok phone but collected water when it rained so now there are water drops inside the screen, then outer camera glass broke, I replaced that and then phone receiver stopped working so now I can only talk and receive calls through the speaker phone which is annoying for me and everyone else around me. It is unfortunate because I mainly bought the phone for the long battery life which works great! and the waterproof feature which kind of works.

Perfect for my 10yo son – My son rides his bike in our community and “explores” with his friends daily. We wanted a way to keep track of him and reach him, or he us, if needed. We tried the watch thing, unsuccessfully. Then we decided to get a smartphone. However, he is a 10yo boy so it had to be a tough phone. The Oukitel WP5 Pro fit the bill. The corners are rubberized with aluminum edging to protect from drops and falls. There is enough lip on the front bezel to protect the glass, which is tough and has a screen protector. The ports have a rubber cap to prevent dust and water from entering. The phone is waterproof at 1.5m for 30 min, more than enough time to handle a drop in the pond, a puddle, or the pool. The antennas for both 4G and WiFi are strong enough to pick up signal as a normal cell phone would, inside and outside. Best of all, the battery life is amazing. My son basically uses this phone in the afternoons and some at night…maybe 4-5 hours daily. He has to charge his phone around every 3 days, the battery life is that good. My wife and I feel safer knowing he has a great 4G phone that’s tough enough to withstand his style of play and has enough battery to last if he needs it. As an IT pro, I’m impressed with the ‘un-bloated’ and unlocked Android v10 OS. That’s right, no bloatware or unremovable provider apps preinstalled. This phone is just Android, the way it should be. The only drawback of this phone is the size and weight. With an 8000 mAh battery, the phone is thick and kinda heavy, think 2 Galaxy S9s squashed together. No matter though, the toughness and battery life more than make up for the size and weight, especially for a rough and tough 10 year old boy. We added this phone to our Mint Mobile plan for $15/mo. That’s an incredible value…a rugged phone and 3 mos. service for just over $200.

Back camera case cover is glass instead of plexy glass – I love everything about it but what i hate the most is that their were no plexy glass only thin layer of glass

It is tough, but not very smart – The phone is truly built like a tank, very resistant to physical abuse and water/dust. Been using it daily for work at an industrial plant and its heat resistance is really helpful to take pictures in places where my iPhone’s camera shuts off due to high temperature.

Pretty Great Phone – I have some brand loyalty to Oukitel, because they just seem to build fantastic phones with features I care about. While the trend is heading towards brittle completely glass phones with smaller batteries, Oukitel makes bulletproof bricks that last for days, reminding me of old Nokias in smartphone form. They ship with no bloatware, and the more expensive models like this one are usually pretty cutting edge with their updates which is a nice touch. I’ve only owned two other Oukitel phones that were much cheaper than this one, but opening up and replacing parts for them impressed me since they use thick durable aluminum frames and screws unlike expensive iphones and samsungs.

Very Rugged – The OUKITEL WP5 is as rugged as claimed but it adds weight to the phone. No need for a case with this phone but a screen protector may be needed depending on how much you intend to drop it. Would be very appropriate for construction workers, military, or extreme sports activities. The screen is sensitive and would need to have password or fingerprint log-on enabled to prevent constant pocket activation. Would need to do your diligent research to confirm compatibility with your network. Works with AT&T network and similar providers but is NOT 5G capable if that’s what you’re looking for. The developers has forgone the primary and secondary app sections which I liked very much in the design. All apps are on the primary screens so once you organize the apps on the left/right screens, it makes it much easier to remember where they are.
