Other than camera button for price and what you want the phone to do I would have given it 5 – The phones is by no means a sleek, fast, top the line phone for gaming -taking pictures if of you are a big data user, high end phone person that wants they look (straight up a first responders phone, or somebody who just wants rugged and operational); however for under $300.00 those of us that are pissed that they ended the active serious, this is as close to my S7 Galaxy active I wish I could have kept for ever. Pros: it may be bullet proof, speakers are awesome, no need to buy a case (but it is big) and ear buds are ahead of the curve. And has android 12 latest version, phone is August 2022, so will be good for a few years. For me anyways. But has less ram (6g) not bad but not impressive either. Had great battery life and can take a beating.

I bought this for active putdoor use and it’s just about perfect, except. The phone is symetrical and when you grap it from your pocket there’s no way to tell by feel if it’s upside down. You have a fifty/ fifty chance of pushing the “special” key rather than the unlock and I’m constantly launching the camera app from the dedicated button that cannot be reassigned or disabled. I’m seriously considering putting a drop of super glue in the frigging thing and fixing the camera button for good.
