Outstanding Military Rugged Phone – For 159 bucks this thing is amazing. Decided to try phone for some of my staff that work in maintenance and destroy lots of more expensive phones. They need a quality phone that works, has a great battery life and still has the features that they need. And I need the phone to be harder to break than dropping it because that just happens with maintenance staff.

Small enough to satisfy – So my wife is in Sweden waiting on her passport and her (not Ulefone) phone dies. She is really committed to a water proof phone and also to one much smaller than the other Ulefone or anybody else’s models. We can’t buy it on Amazon.se, so I buy it on Amazon.us. It arrives in less than 5 days. Note that the US ships UPS and they actually attempted to deliver it, but Sweden usually sends it to a local UPS shop for pickup as PostNord won’t ring a building’s doorbell. No problems as we were expecting that. The pick up shop was a block away from our place in Sodermalm. She loves the phone. Perfect size with all the other features she wanted. Her husband (me) has had and Armor 6E for 4+ years. The X5 has the 5000mAh battery with a smaller screen and all of the other features she wanted. Her Sim card went in and she was back in business. She is very happy. We can’t rate the face recognition, touch screen, or battery life yet but if it’s close to the Armor 6E, we be good.

Good phone, bad customer service – The phone overall is very good! It does as needed and allows good storage and customization; the only issue I’ve had involves the customer service when the phone was damaged. During winter (I had bought the phone late summer/early fall), it had fallen and the screen has been fairly cracked ever since, but it had fallen within the “covered” height listed in the warranty. When I explained what had happened and the rough height it had fallen, they said “we’re sorry the fall is human error/not covered under warranty.” This MIGHT be due to perhaps a language or translation issue but either way it didn’t feel good to not feel listened or feel like I wasn’t believed.

the touch screen is junk – after about 3 months the touch screen quit working right in the middle of an important text, it wouldn’t do a thing , i tried for days to contact Ulefone customer support after about 3 weeks of trying i gave up, after some in depth research I discovered this was a common problem with this model and for another $90 + shipping i could ship it back to the manufacturer and they would fix itin another 6-8 weeks. other than all that crap the phone was great.

Surprisingly great phone – I wanted to upgrade a Galaxy Amp Prime phone for a reasonable price. This was a great choice! It came with very little bloatware, the memory is fine for high graphics games like Marvel Strike Force, the processing speed is good, I’ve already dropped it several times being clumsy but it’s still absolutely fine. It also came with a screen protector. It wasn’t clear if this was just extra protection to the default glass on the phone or if it truly needed to be applied. I applied it in any event. It does set surprisingly quick though, I put mine on a bit crooked and couldn’t easily reposition. The battery life seems similar to my last phone though where I find myself charging it once a day. Given the battery specs, I expected to charge less often but I admit due to recent COVID19 events I do find myself on my phone more often so I’ll call it a wash. Overall, I’m really happy with this phone. If I ever need to upgrade again, I think I’ll check out Ulefone again.

Very disappointing – Well……not to happy with this phone already. My new armor x5 came in today i was super excited to get home and unbox this bad boy. I got home opened the box took the phone out. Briefly read the instructions. I went through the box to find the changer and sim key just to make sure everything was there. Then i went to power the phone on… I tried 3 times i got nothing it wouldn’t even Flickr. I was thinking well maybe its just really low on battery. I let it sit on the charger for about an hour. I tried it again and again. Much to my surprise it’s still wouldn’t turn on. At this point I’m not even mad or upset I’m disappointed that I got my hopes up. I made contact with Amazon to see what they can do they said they would send me a new phone. Hopefully cross my fingers the new one will actually work. Up date just got the new phone Amazon sent me definitely like this phone it’s been about 2 days when I originally made this review everything is now working great internet works fast I have metro by T-Mobile and everything seems to be working great definitely went from one star to five stars in my book!
