      – Plenty of nice things to say about this phone, firstly the size which is perfect (I hate large phones) and the screen is very clear and responsive to touch. The battery life is ok most of the time but sometimes it would just drain out rapidly and I’d be needing a recharge after only about 10 hours of barely even using it. Not sure why this would happen – I only had the phone for about 3 weeks and barely ran any apps at all on it. Also, on two occasions whilst I was on the phone for about 10 minutes, it became so hot that I had to cut the conversation off because I was concerned that it might explode! Although you can take photos with it, they are very poor and you can forget texting a photograph to anyone as the maximum size of a text message is only 300kb. And while I could have lived with some of these failings, the main reason for returning it is because it simply would not access mobile data – at all! Wi-Fi connection is fine but the mobile data function simply doesn’t work. It’s weird because the phone does seem to think that it has access to the 4G network but no matter how hard you try, once you open a browser it simply fails to access the internet at all. I tried different sim cards, looked at the troubleshooting forums online, showed it to my super-geeky-gadget-savvy friend, nothing worked – the phone was never able to connect online and that’s basically a huge deal-breaker as far as I’m concerned. Sorry Unihertz, maybe I’ll try again in another 5 years once these issues are resolved.

Great for running and as 2nd device, not so good as primary phone – So I purchased this phone to fill one need – a phone to use while running. I knew that battery life would likely be an issue, so weight, battery life, features, and cost were the criteria. The 3 phones I was considering were the Jelly Pro, Atom and Palm. I own the Jelly and Palm. From a weight perspective, the Jelly Pro and the Palm would win. The Atom was 2oz heavier, but still just a bit over 4oz. The Jelly and Palm are just over 2oz, the weight of a smart watch. From a battery life perspective, the Atom would win. It likely can last over double the length of time of the other two phones. I found the Jelly and Palm seem to have about the same battery life. Note that the Jelly is the only phone with a replaceable battery. From a features perspective, it is a tie between the Palm and Atom. The Atom runs android 9.x. The palm has a much nicer screen and size (note that the Jelly and Atom and thick, which the palm is more like a downsized apple phone). The Jelly wins from a cost perspective – it is half the cost of the other two phones.

Think of it as a fully function smart watch and you’ll be thrilled! – I love this phone! I got this to replace my Gear S watch. I loved the portability of the Gear S with the full keyboard feature (which all of the more recent watches don’t have), but the apps are limited and I really wanted a camera! I wore my watch all the time and especially LOVED it for running, but the battery is now failing. So when I found this I was ecstatic! All the features of the Gear S plus that add ons I wanted; camera, more apps, etc. and still the small size! I suddenly realized you have to think of this phone as a huge, but fully functional, smart watch.
